Matt Cranitch, who lives in Cork, has established a high reputation
as a traditional fiddle-player and teacher, both at home in Ireland
and abroad. He has performed extensively with various groups at
concerts and festivals, as well as on radio and television. He has
also presented lectures, master-classes and workshops on various
aspects of Irish music, particularly fiddle-playing. He is also
an authority on Sliabh Luachra music having researched and promoted
this most unique style of music for many years. He's a member of
the group Sliabh Notes, which also includes Donal Murphy and Tommy
O'Sullivan. They have recorded three albums: "Sliabh Notes"
(1995), "Gleanntan" (1999) and their most recent, "Along
Blackwater's Banks".

Particularly famed for his Sliabh Luachra influenced polkas and slides, Jackie
Daly is a well known Irish accordionist from Kanturk, Co. Cork.
Now living in Co. Clare, he has performed and recorded with many
famous groups including Patrick Street, Arcady, Buttons and Bows
and De Dannan. Some of his albums include the Benchmark 1977 recording
with Seamus Creagh, the 1980's Eavesdropper with Kevin Burke, and
two solo albums - "Irish Traditional Music Played on the Accordion"
and his most recent, "Many's a Wild Night".
